Ayurveda Retreat

Ayurveda is a holistic system of knowledge, the science of daily living that is indigenous to and widely practiced in daily life of India for more than 5000 years. Ayurveda helps the healthy person to maintain health, and the diseased person to regain health.

Ayurveda is rooted in understanding creation and perceived as a close relationship between man and universe.

It is a simple, practical science of life whose principles are universally applicable to every individual’s daily existence. Ayurveda speaks to every element of human life, offering guidance that has been tested and refined over many centuries to all those who seek greater harmony, peace and longevity.

Ayurveda teaches balanced good health is the foundation for fulfilling human instincts (Spiritual, Financial, Procreative and Freedom).

It is a medical-metaphysical healing life science, the mother of all healing arts.

Yoga is the science of union with the ultimate being. Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences.

According to Ayurveda, the practice of Yoga, which is a spiritual science of life, is a very important, natural, preventive measure to ensure good health. The Yogic practices are very useful in maintaining good health, happiness and longevity.

The concept is basic to Ayurvedic science: the capability of the individual for self-healing.

This course is designed to provide a basic overview of Ayurveda including techniques of knowing an individual's body and mind constitution (Prakriti), diagnosis, self-healing treatments, promotion of longevity, use of herbal remedies and other practical everyday aspects of maintaining health.

Through studying the teaching of Ayurveda, the practical knowledge of self-healing can be acquired by participants and by the proper application of this knowledge they can bring balance of energies in the body, impressively reducing the process of physical deterioration and disease.

Yoga brings the natural state of tranquility and equilibrium thus providing both preventive and curative value.

Participants will also learn Yogic practices to bring balance to neurohormones, metabolism, endocrine system and fortification against stress. Yogic practices for stress-related disorders are remarkably effective.
